Alba Case Study

MFL Ltd were awarded the contract to supply and install a new raised mezzanine floor for the Port of Tyne Authority in South Shields.

The remit was to create a raised floor for a new packing area where electrical goods are assembled to bespoke customer requirements

MFL, Manufactured and installed on time and within Budget.

MFL supplied Detailed Structural Drawings and structural calculations for local authority approval.

The Floor was Finished in Blue with contrasting Red mesh knee panels and flocoat hand rails.

The Floor comprised of 699 sq Meters incorporating 2 access staircases, 2 up and over packet safety gates and columns guards.

Design: All mezzanines conform to structural steel code BS5950: Parts 1 & 5. Ancillaries such as staircases, handrails, kick plates and ladders are designed to conform to bs 5395:pars 1 and 3: Design is to suit the loading category of intended use as covered by bs 6399:Part 1:1984
